This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Georgia People Search is a private reference site. It cannot retrieve a record, certify a copy, verify someone's residence, or erase information from a database. Contact the office responsible for the source record to request those services. For emergencies, dial 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.
Where to Request a Specific Record
Choose the official Georgia custodian based on the type and location of the record:
- Deeds, liens, and plats: the Superior Court clerk in the county where the land lies; see Georgia public records
- Court cases by name: see the Georgia court records name search
- Birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates: see vital records in Georgia
- Voter registration lookups and voter files: see Georgia voter registration records
- Staff, school, phone, and property directories: see Georgia people directories
- Records not posted online: send a request under the Georgia Open Records Act to the agency's designated open-records officer
- Records for a specific city or county: use the city and county directory to reach that community's local site
Statewide records contact: Georgia Department of Public Health, State Office of Vital Records, 1680 Phoenix Boulevard, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30349. The lobby accepts walk-in requests Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding state holidays. County clerks remain the correct contacts for deeds, local court files, and many marriage or divorce records.
